What Members Receive

Is there a cost to join the Dance Collective?
No! There is no fee to apply or be selected as a member of the Studio By Megan Dance Collective.
Selected dancers will receive exclusive photography experiences throughout the season in exchange for representing Studio By Megan Photography and allowing images from these experiences to be shared for promotional purposes.
Who can apply?
The Dance Collective is open to dancers of all styles and experience levels. Dancers must be 10 years or older. Whether you are a recreational dancer, competition dancer, or somewhere in between, we encourage you to apply!
We are looking for dancers who are passionate, creative, positive, and excited to be part of this experience.
Do I need to have a large social media following?
No! We are not looking for dancers based on follower count.
We are looking for dancers who are enthusiastic, creative, and excited to share their love of dance and their experience with Studio By Megan Photography.
What is expected of Dance Collective members?
Members are expected to:
Participate in scheduled photography experiences when available, represent Studio By Megan Photography positively, tag Studio By Megan Photography when sharing images online, allow images created during sessions to be used for website, social media, and promotional purposes.
How many photoshoots will members participate in?
Dance Collective members will have opportunities to participate in multiple creative photography experiences throughout the season.
Specific shoots and schedules will vary based on availability, concepts, and opportunities throughout the year.
Will I receive images from the photoshoots?
Yes! Members will receive a curated selection of edited images from Dance Collective experiences.
Additional images and products may be available for purchase if desired.
Can dancers from any studio join?
Yes! The Studio By Megan Dance Collective welcomes dancers from all studios.
The goal is to celebrate dancers across our community and showcase the incredible talent and creativity found throughout the dance world.
How are dancers selected?
Applications are reviewed based on:
Passion for dance
Creativity and personality
Excitement for the opportunity
Reliability and willingness to participate
Selection is not based solely on dance experience, style, or social media presence.
How long does the Dance Collective last?
Members are selected for one dance season. Applications will open annually for future Dance Collective teams.
Do I have to live near Studio By Megan to apply?
Not at all! Dancers from across Northeast Pennsylvania and the surrounding areas are welcome to apply. While most Dance Collective events will take place within a reasonable driving distance, we encourage passionate dancers from all studios to apply.
